IBM made the first tape measure in 1981. It was called Monochrome pose Adapter (MDA). The measure was solely veteran of displaying one flush and had 80x25 text-only pose, using a 4KB produce.

  • Video cards are hardware pieces that breed the images you see on your observer. Lacking this you could not use the software you have, because you could not see the images to work it.

  • The CPU sends applications to the tape measure, and the tape measure decides how to use the pixels to make the faithful idea look on the observer. There are 4 parts that make up a tape measure.

#1- Motherboard connection- The motherboard gives the intensity and evidence to the tape measure.

#2- Processor- it has the ability to breed algebraic calculations (GPU) to fabricate the picture.

#3- Memory- The evidence that the GPU produces is temporarily stored on RAM. The RAM sends it to the Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) to move idea to analog signals that the observer uses to pose the idea.

#4- observer connections- The tape measure is perpetual to the observer to accept all images sent.

Three other names for record cards are: Graphics Accelerator warrant, parade Adapter, and Graphics warrant. From the year 1981 to 1987 three other standards of record cards were untaken to mainframe users.

*Color Graphics Adapter (CGA) 640x200 explicit means parade, 16 model, and 16KB recall

*Enhanced explicit Adapter (EGA) 640x350 explicit means parade, 16 model, and 256KB recall

*Multi-Color Graphics Adapter (MCGA) 320x200 explicit means parade, 256 colors

  • Video Graphics Adapter (VGA) was twisted in 1987. It herewith 720x400 text-only parade, 640x480 explicit means parade, 256 models and a 256KB recall. Companies like S3, Cirrus dispute, and ATI rapidly possessed the same capabilities as VGA.

  • Not sans to be out done, they made the Super VGA (SVGA) using 1024x768 resolutions, 256 paint means and 2 MB record recall. New improvements frequent to be made pending 1995, when they musing they had reached the top, 2D and 3D cards were fashioned.

  • They were free by Creative Matrox, S3 and ATI. These cards were based on the SVGA, but using the mixing of 2D and 3D capabilities.

  • NVIDIA dominated the tape accredit bazaar between 1999 and 2002 using their kind, the GeForce tape cards. They went from 32MB in GeForce to 128MB in the GeForce 4.

  • Their leadership was quickly full elsewhere by ATI in 2006 when they introduced Radeon tape Cards to the mainframe consumer.

There are numerous chief tape accredit producers such as: NVIDIA, ATI Technologies, 3Dlabs, Matrox Graphics, SiS Inc., ABIT Ltd., Aopen, ASUSTek mainframe, Gainward (CardExpert), LeadTek inquiries, MSI Inc., PNY Technologies, and indigo Technologies.
