Use clear type fonts on lcds and laptops to prolong your usage and comfort

I am sharing with you a tip which is very useful as it does not strain your eyes as much as those other fonts. The tip is to use Clear Type Fonts. For all those Laptop users and LCD users staring at their screens all day long this must be more of a necessity than an option. Most geeks and other elite users must be already knowing this but then too I thought I would share this information with all those who might want to enhance their computing experience.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Right click at any free area on your desktop and select properties.

Step 2: In the window that opens ( It is named Display Properties) navigate to the Appearance tab ( It is the second last tab, right of screen saver tab and left of settings tab) and click on the button named Effects ( It is the button above Advanced at the bottom right of the window).

Step 3: In the Effects window check the text box which says "use following methods to smooth edges of screen fonts" ( It is the second text box from the top of the window) and in the menu under it select "Clear Type" ( Usually Standard is selected). Now just do OK and APPLY and you can see the difference.
