Unusual Sound From Pc
i had a motherboard die on me a few days ago i got a new one and installed it
when i started it for the first time a loud solid alarm sound comes from the cpu area though i have not pinpointed the source
anyone have ideas on what this could be?
new board is a EVGA nForce 780i SLI Motherboard 2.4 Intell due core 6600 cpu duel 8800gts
Well if you have the motherboad manual then you can check the beep sounds and the indicators. The beep sound you are referring to seems like there is RAM problem or CPU not seated properly. Try reseating RAM and CPU. Maybe this could fix your problem. If both of them are good then it should Hard Disk which is bad
