In fact, Microsoft has been killing off one version of a product as it is replaced with another for years now. I'm not surprised..XP has been their most successful offering in a whie. Despite all the initial security hitches and service packs, its proved to be a solid performer. And with people not ready for Vista yet I don't see any way out when they exactly kill it off..will be sad to see it go ! :)

yes, i was sad when Windows 98 had to go! but then Windows XP brought about a sea-change in the way we work!
Now, i hope Vista is going to do the same for us!
