Suggestion for Virtualization software

Suggestion for Virtualization software

I currently have VISTA installed on my laptop i wanna install XP but via virtualization. Any good virtualization software preferably FREE or open aource that works pretty well on VISTA ?

Re: Suggestion for Virtualization software

Probably you should try WMware server with console. It is free as I remember. Download and apply for free registration code. http://www.vmware.com/products/server/
This is more than enough to run any OS you want including Linux, DOS, MAC OS. For instance I am running 4 virtual machines on my computer at one time - no problem at all. If you need assistance on installing and customizing, just let me know.

Re: Suggestion for Virtualization software

Yes, you should use VMware server and it is completely free but there is registration process before you can downloading it from the internet.

Here is the link from where you will get the steps to install your operating system on your computer via virtualization

http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_sar...e_server_howto

Before you can do it, I will suggest you to install the VMware tools after operating system is installed on your computer!

Re: Suggestion for Virtualization software

No doubt about it it's

VIRTUAL BOX.

I liked it the most.I have tried nearly every Virtualization software but i found this most appealing ... The best part is it's FREE...yeah you heard it right...It has nearly every feature of commercial paid Virtualization softwares but it's FREE...I have been using this since 1 year and i have never faced and problems using it
