Remove virus
SERVICEMGR.EXE which is formed due to Win32.Worm.Passma.A
Now u find servicemgr.exe in Windows/system32.
This worm actually renames ur file from file.exe to file.hwd and creates its own file.exe with injected malicious code.
So all you have to is kill the service file servicemgr.exe and delete it from its source.
Now create a dummy servicemgr.exe in windwows/system32. Scan your system and remove all infected exe files.
Always keep yourself updated with latest anti-virus and anti-spywares.
when we create a dummy servicemgr.exe file isn't it going to rewrite the original one? and did it work for you? can you give me a step by step information please.
yes you cant create a dummy file with same name, if the file name is already there. I think this method will not help. Anyway, thanks for sharing with us. But I think you must look for solution again as this should not work.
