I am not good with graphics, but I use adobe Photoshop. i use Microsoft Expression Web as my editor. It is great with many fucntionality and easy to use look. Also it is easy to track errors here.
for designing the webpage, dreamweaver does it compatibly and with the combination of macromedia flash sounds good..I wont prefer gimp and all.But gimp is also good…I use dreamwever and photoshop…
I currently am using Dreamweaver but I have also sen Nvu..and its not that bad. I also am learning Gimp. I guess it all boils down to..budget and preferences. Dreamweaver…Photoshop….hmmm…nice chunk of change…Nvu…Gimp….hmmm…free…

good old frontpage is in for me. i am a small webmaster and am in no need to create very dynamic sites. frontpage is more tham enough for me.
Photoshop cs 2 or cs 3 are the best in design. You can make in it all you’re heart want. From modifiying a photo to make a banner or avatar. I recommend it for you !
Well..Although Adobe is good stuff…I dont recommend it. Why??..Steep learning Curve for one….Price is also fairly steep. I prefer Simple..Dreamweaver..is simple….What You See Is What You Get…cant beat that…..
And Yes..Frontpage…is also simple….
But again…Just my 2 cents
