i suggest you go for VB if you can afford it… If you want a free forum CMS then go for phpbb…there is also SMF,mybb but currently phpbb stands first in case of free forum CMS..

and it is 100% false that phpbb can be hacked…All of them use MD5 encryption…so it’s not that easy…

It is not a matter of which is better, rather which you can afford. vBulletin is Paid and phpBB is free. No doubt that you are going to get more protection in vBulletin as you are paying them. Anyway, if you have enough money and want to make better forum then you must choose vBulletin.

I am suggesting to you to buy a license for IPB. I think is the best forum script .

Most of the popular forums use Vbulletien though it is paid but it is better.I t is more user freindly and hacker unfreindly.
Go for it if you can afford it.

I belong to a lot of different forums…especially in the marketing realm…and the majority of them have been built on phpbb. And if they are so easy to be attacked…(to which I also disagree)..I think I would have heard some rumblings…..so..my vote?..PhpBB

    Just my opinion
