I feel of the brands available DELL is better. The performace is great and you can rely on their products. After sales service is also great. DELL is always cheaper than its competitors

I have a question…if its going to be at home, why not a Desktop?? You get more for your money..and the ability to upgrade rather simply.

But…if a laptop is your wish…the 2 I have are Dell and Compaq. Granted, I’m sure the oodles of other brands are just as good…but I tend to stick with proven companies.

Garyearle is probably right, why not a desktop? My laptop is great for the ease, though the battery life really bothers me! I have a Sony VGN.

I concur.A desktop shall give you more bang for your buck. Plus you’ll have the option of your own custom configuration. However if you really want to take another laptop then i’ll suggest you take a look at Compaq-i’ve seen it in operation and its quite efficient.Plus it has the looks.Might be a bit pricey though..

Desktop is a better choice as it’s better in almost everything compare to laptop (exceot mobility) But if you still insist on getting a laptop, I would suggest for Compaq. I’ve been using them for years and I’m very satisfied with it.

Well..I’m going to stick my guns here…I..have never purchased a laptop…its my wife who does…she thinks they are cute. Ugh. Me…as Ive stated..give me that box that I can muck in around in if I want!

And for the same price as a laptop..Im going to get a helluva lot more power

i have two toshiba laptops, both are fantastic (i also have a very old toshiba laptop (pentium2) which i use as a development server to test out new websites) i also have an asus 701 eeepc which i use for network testing, asus high end latops are expensive, but are very good, as with toshiba, have you ever thought about apple, they make fantastic hardware that you can install windows onto =)

I think Dell Laptop is also the best, and even if I don’t use it. Some of my friends used this brand for many years and it really can work well for them.
now my boyfriend also use this brand, and he said it is really good.
