Question: spyware and antivirus

hi, i mostly use linux on my computers, but my dad has a windows xp machine, i was just wondering if you can recommend some anttivirus and spyware software for me to use as im not very clued up on it anymore.

    for free versions get urself AVG Free edition & spybot search & destroy which is a free anti spyware

    If u want paid AV

    then go with ESS total security or Kaspersky security
