Question: Slow start

It seems like my computer really take time to start (it really take time to load everything) I tried unchecking a few programs using msconfig but it still the same. Is there any solution for that?

A slow startup is primarily due to a large number of startup programs..msconfig should help you point out most of the unnecessary ones. Another solution is to go into “services.msc” through Run and stop a few system services that are non-essential..
another idea..you could consider turning on Hibernation/using it. Makes booting quiker than a normal startup..

Please remove unnecessary application load on your startup. Type msconfig on RUN command. Disable all except your antivirus.

Thanks to all the replies! I did uncheck a couple of things using misconfig but I was worried if I overdid it, I might harm my computer. I tried unchecking all except for antivirus and systray before. Next thing I know, I have to pay a visit to the ‘doctor’

Few more tips to make startup fast…….
    1) Use blank wallpaper
    2) Disable startup sound.

And most common remove all programs from startup list. However you can keep antivirus and firewall in the list.

First check your Hard Disk size, if it is nearing to full capacity then try copying some old stuff to cd drive. Next clean your desktop, move all the files on your desktop to some other location. Then check and see if it still slow
