The Question

I’ve noticed that the majority of people who frequently burn CD’s or DVD’s use either Nero or Roxio Burning Studio, and I did until recently.
I was getting annoyed with Nero for being slow and generally being bloatware, way too many features that noone would ever use taking up too much disk space. Roxio is much the same, a massive installation size.

I got a recommendation from a friend who writes for a tech blog to use the program ‘Ashampoo Burning Studio 7′.
Ashampoo’s website can be found at www.ashampoo.com, and it’s worth a visit. Their software provides similar functionality to the more expensive commercial alternatives, and it’s pretty cheap. I’m impressed, I gotta say.

Nero is the best in burning cds softwares. I bought license for it when i bought my new dvd-writer and i love the mode in which it works.

I found another CD burning software that is really professional and is free- CDBurnerXP . It is capable to burn any type of media including HD-DVD and Blue-Ray. It is really small size package as it depends on .NET. User interface is very intuitive and easy to use. It definitely replaces Nero on my computer right now.

Well NERO comes with a lot of crap so even i shifted to asahmpoo. Really good piece of software. Have som small glitches but overall better product for CD DVD BLUE RAY writing.

If you want a free alternative i would suggest IMGbrun (http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=screenshots) and CDburnerXP (http://cdburnerxp.se/)

I am using Nero for so many years and I didn’t found any error or problem with it.
I also use Alcohol120% which is also a cool application for burning the CD or DVD.
I will recommend you to go for these applications only for burning because these are standard softwares and will not cause any harm to your computer system by any means!

Thanks for the recommendation. I’m going to try it out. Most of the times, I would either use Nero or the in-built Windows Technology for writing files. I’ve tried CDBurnerXP. Are there any other good free one’s?

Nero is a standard Software For Cd Burning. I have been using nero. I Never Find Any DIfficulties With It. Well Yeah It It occupies some space but I don’t think its slow. As far as I know it’s the best.
