The launch of world’s cheapest ‘Windows’ equipped laptop computer has been announced in joint initiative by Microsoft India and HCL Info systems.
The Windows OS computer will be launched under an HCL brand and will cost US$425.
The laptop computer will be Microsoft Windows XP powered and will come equipped with broadband capabilities.
The agreement between the two software groups will also entail the training and certifying of 50,000 students on Microsoft technologies throughout Indian cities.

Nice information. But how about the stability for the brand? Have you use it? Hope the new laptop will stable longer.
Hardware prices are crashing day by day. More and powerfull hardware is coming into the market with lots of benefits and multiple options. Its no wonder that laptops have become cheap especially in India.
