I have both and I prefer my desktop more. Laptop tend to broke and I have trouble to repair them. They were also limited when it come to upgrading. It’s annoying that it cost more but the only advantage is mobility.

It seems as if it is all a matter of preference. In my house we have both. Personally I prefer the desktop for 2 main reasons. One…You get more bang for your investment dollar and 2..nothing like opening that case an starting to upgrade!!….Yeah..I’m an Old geek..cant help it

I will prefer Laptop because It has so many advantages. Easy to carry with yourself and you can work wherever you want to. I have a laptop and I am very happy that I can use internet wherever I want connecting by it with my cell phone.

I like Laptop if the Laptop and desk computer are with the same configuration, as Laptop can work well for me in any place I go,but I could not move the desk PC to other place, even if I can, it is really hard for me.

I like both, laptop for portability, PC for gaming and higher end tasks.

Laptop is great for taking to other peoples house though.

I would never go for a lappy because no matter how good a deal you get with a laptop, you can never match the power that a desktop of the same budget can give you. I’m an avid gamer and the money I’ve spent on my computer would not have been able to buy me a lappy capable of playing games like crysis and company of heroes

i have both.. a laptop and a desktop… but i prefer my laptop more.. its been such an awesome companion that i just can’t imagine life without it… can use it while you’re travelling, in a power faliure, while lying on the bed hehe… even though they are over twice the price of a desktop of the same config but are worth the money spent!! :D

It definitely depends what you are using it for etc. I have a laptop at home that is great for obviously moving around and using, however when I have been learning to touch type, it’s so importnand to use a proper keyboard and sit at a desk..
