Question: How to install IIS on windows XP
Here is the small method to install IIS on the windows XP.
Steps are as follow
*On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
*Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
*Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
*Click Internet Information Services (IIS) and then click Details.
*In Internet Information Services (IIS), select the check boxes for SMTP Service and World Wide Web Service, and then click OK.
*In Windows Component selection, ensure that the Internet Information Services (IIS) check box is selected, and then click OK to install the components that you selected.

Thank you very much for your information, I don’t know install xp I only… always I bought for do it…
IIS (Internet Information service) is not install by default while installing windows xp. This is an optional component. You need to go to add/remove programs choose windows services and click on IIS. It will prompt you to insert the Windows XP cd. Do so to complete the installation
