Question: Harddisk Manufacturer

Nowadays we see a lot of hard disk on computer shop. Mostly the market that we see is Seagate and Western Digital. Which  is the best and stable can use more than 5 years? Let me know is any other hard disk come out on the market now.

    I use seagate! they are quite good and cheap! (price per MB) :)
    western is also good but they are a lil expensive. others include Samsung and toshiba!

    Well, I use Western Digital ad seagate both. I had my PC assembled with a Western Digital but then I added another Seagate to get more space. I also have a Mobile HDD of Quantam. Among them WD is the best no doubt. But Barracuda is also cool.

    This is like a debate about what is the best cookie!…Everyone is going to have a different preference. Ive used many…Seagate…Western Digital…Toshiba…Samsung…

    Do I find a big difference in performance..?..No..not really….

    What I look for is…well..price!!!!

    i personally use western digital 250 Gb HDD from 6 months
    without any problems
    moreover seagate HDD having lot of problems these days.
    So western digital is the way to go

    I prefer Western Digital Cavier wit 16mb buffer.. they are the best and do come very nice … Seagate used to be in top few yrs back bt these days they don come good…

    Western Digital is now not good. Its performance has degraded. I see people with Western Digital have lots of problems. Samsung and Seagate are perfroming good. Especially Samsung’s performance and price is too competitive.
