Question: hard drive formatting and dos mystery
boy this is so wierd. ok i cannot sucessfuly format a hard-drive in windows setup .and it is not the drive bad. i have a stack of 10 drives here and not will complete a format in winxp setup.i can take the drive off master and onto slave and put a small 1.2 gig drive in and boot to xp and the drive i just tried to format is detected and working perfect can move/add and delete files on the drive…but cannot format this same drive under xp bootup setup..it seems something is very wrong here anybody ever had this problem.a note is that i am trying to install winxp on a 10.2 gig or a 8.gig or 13.gig
all drives meesup during formatany ideas?

y not do a format using DOs commands and force it to do a hard format or while reinstallin OS u get a option to format rit …try tht!!
Try not to format the hard drive as it will burn out the life of the hard drive. Try this option in the last when all other tricks fail to correct your problem and make your computer up and running
