Processor : Intel or AMD
What do you like ? Certainly Intel is a known and old brand in manufacturing processors but AMD has really over taken the market.
Well when I am asked to choose, I choose AMD because I really like the amazing performance of AMD at effective price which is certainly well over Intel.
I currently own AMD Athlon X2 6000+ and am really satisfied with it.
What do you own ?
Yes Intel Products are reliable for Office use but do you know that AMD gives better performance on games when compared to Intel. Check out the performance for the game CRYSIS here AMD Phenom X4 gave more when compared to Intels both E6 and QX series http://www.expreview.com/news/hard/2007-10-29/119362083...
i'm and AMD lover myself ... such great performance and at the same time such low prices.. i mean come to think of it how many more upgrades you can get from the cost you save by opting for AMD rather than intel processors... i'd recommend AMD to everyone.. am using it myself and never had a problem...
I have been using AMD since 2002. First AMD Athlon 2600+, then bought AMD 64 3200+. Then again upgraded it to AMD Opetron.
Currently i have AMD X2 running at 1.9 GHZ on laptop. Really loves it performance during gaming. Its better than DUAL CORE of intel but still core2duo is 15% better in performance with around 25 - 30% extra price.
If you are a over clocker then you might wanna buy intel IMHO. I choose AMD over INTEL.
I am using Intel since I bought my computer.I like AMD as well!
Currently I am working on Intel and it is giving me enough output as I expect from it but I will definitely buy AMD processor next time for my computer just to have a change.I play all the games on my console hence I don't require fast processor....... at least for now!
I think Intel is a more trusted brand than AMD. AMD beats Intel in performance, no doubt - but I'm just talking about the reuputation. On the other hand, I would really prefer AMD over Intel for my gaming needs. Intel is good overall.
Well When It Comes To Reputation Intel Is The Best. But I Have Been Using AMD And I'm Very Much Satisfied With The Performance. Intel Is A Little Bit Ahead Than AMD And Its Just Because Of The Brand Name. At Least For Some More Years I'm Not Going To Change My AMD:)
Personally i'm choose Intel for my CPU. I have using intel products since 4-5 years ago. They not dissapointed me. Yes i more expensive than AMD. For me AMD is ok but you better take a look on the the capability for AMD. Better put extra fans on your board to prevent heating occured.
Intel more reliable?..hmmmm...Ild like to know where that data comes from. I have had machines with both Intel and AMD...do I have preference?..just slightly...I always liked dragonslayers..and thats exactly what AMD started out as. The machine I currently use has an AMD and I am completely satisfied.

Man, you are little bit ahead of me. I have AMD Athlon X2 5200+ but it is more than enough now. I choose AMD for its price and performance ratio. But I really think that Intel products are more reliable.
