Possibilities for Computer Crashes
Many of us have an illogical idea that a computer is a master of all and it never runs out of the capability of working if it is kept on for days. We generally wish to do as much work as possible in a computer in less time. But just as human beings cannot handle excessive work pressure similarly a computer also needs some time to breathe before it is employed to handle lots of work. Many users have complained for frequent computer crashes though they have got the latest hardware configuration and all sorts of software loaded. Well there are various reasons for computer crashes. PC crashing may be because of any one or cumulative reasons:
- Firstly be sure to use an original and registered version of the operating system that you want to work with. A pirated OS lacks essential security patches and security codes which is present in the original OS. A pirated OS can be often unstable or some essential system files may be absent in it leading to frequent system crashes.
- Make sure that the software's (apart from the operating system) are not corrupted or installed with missing files. When the applications are run the computer tries to load the required files. In case the files are missing then many PC's tends to crash because of the inability to search the files.
- Make sure you have more RAM installed in your PC. 1GB or more RAM is sufficient as per the present era. A PC which has smaller amount of RAM modules but with lots of memory hungry applications running can slow down the machine and can also lead to hanging up the system or crashes.
- Purchasing a good hard disk from a standard manufacturer will insure greater stability. Do not buy Hard Disk of lesser space if you want to store lots of things into your PC. However it doesn't mean that if you have a 200GB (or more) hard disk you will fill it with Videos, Songs, Games, Software's etc. Always keep a suitable amount of space empty. Otherwise a clogged up Hard Disk can also crash in absence of proper disk management.
- A computer which has not been formatted for months can also lead to a sudden system crash.
- If the user is doing many things at a time in the PC then also it can lead to a computer crash. Many computers cannot take up the excessive load of different applications that are being run on the PC at the same time.
- A computer processes much like a human being. So it has similar and now greater tendency to get infected with viruses, spywares and other malwares. If a standard antivirus is not used then these malwares cripples much of the functions of the computer and blocks it to operate normally. It often deletes important system files and data leading to file missing problems. Thus the computer may crash anytime.
These are some of the most possible causes of computer crashes. Following some guidelines may ward off the problem.
