Well I will prefer nVIDIA when money matters because it is cheaper than ATI, but when reliablity matters ATI rocks. It gives out the maximum performance when compared to nVIDIA
I used to have XFX GeForce MX 4000 (128 MB) card which really sucked. It was a mere 128 MB Card which does not even support Pixel Shader 1.1
Now I have upgraded to ATI Radeon X1600 XT (512 MB) on Athlon X2 which is givig me a decent performance on all programs and games
ih have a XFX GeForce 8800GT graphics card... though never used an ATI graphics card myself i think Geforce rocks pretty hard... all my games and 3d applications run to such perfection that its well worth the money spent...
I will prefer to go with nVIDIA graphic cards only.
The graphic cards made by nVIDIA are always of superior quality and much affordable for those who do not want to spend lot of money on their graphic card.
So to put money on nVIDIA is worth!
well i am using Nvidia form 3 years ago. I think it is the best graphic cards manufactor , but i heard that Ati is more cheaper and had same characteristics. But i will use Nvidia for ever . This is my opinion
well i am using Nvidia Geforce 6800 GS whit 256 MB and i prefer nvidia because i use it for long time...... i never used Ati but maybe i'll try and on the future planing to buy Nvidia 8800 GT :X:X:X:X
This debate is like saying...which do you prefer...Chocolate chip cookies or M&M cookies. From my personal experience...I have purchased nothing but Nvidia graphics card over the years,,,,and you cant go wrong with the Geforce series...reliable...cool running....what more do you want?
Geezus...10 card..in 10 years.....hmmm...that seems a bit...odd....is it failure..or do you fall into the category of..OMG..its new...I better get it!..I can get 2 more FPS!!....
Ive had the current NVIDIA board in my machine for 3 years...and oh yeah..its running just fine thank you!
ATI cards have a shelf life of 2 to 3 years i think. ? mine and my friends cards stopped working in roughly 2-3 years, and now we are using nvidia only!

ATI is a bit cheaper than nVidia with similar performance. I have ATI RX1950 on my PC and I am satisfied with its performance and noise level.

I would go for nvidia anyday over ATI. have used a lot of NVIDIA cards and have not had any problem where as with ATI there are some glitches.
And not to forget NVIDIA - The way its meant to be played!

I have changed at least 10 GPU-s in last 10 years. Half were nVida and half ATI.
Conclusion is simple: i dont see any difference at all.
Only thing i notice is that the drivers are some times better for nVidia and other time for ATI, Lately drivers are bad for boath ati and nvidia.
