How to know how reliable your system is.

Everyone knows about the Windows Experience score, but a power user won't find the information there as comprehensive or useful as one could wish. So those of you who want to have more details try Microsoft's Management Console.

Step 1: Right-click on Computer and select Manage.

Step 2: Select Reliability and Performance and take a look at your system's Reliability Monitor in the collection of monitoring tools.

The system stability index gives a weighted value of how stable your PC is based on data collected over its lifetime. Little red X's show where specific failures occurred. It is a good troubleshooting tool as you can find the areas which caused the trouble and fix them.
