I have to choose both, as I find many pages that were designed for IE and do not work well with Firefox and vice versa. But mainly Firefox is my main choice mostly for security reasons and convenience. I wouldn't say that Firefox is faster than IE especially on Windows platform. IE is optimized for windows while Firefox works well in Windows, Linux and other OS.
I've become a die-hard Firefox user and can't even migrate back to IE, no matter how much feature packed the latter becomes. Though I had switched earlier to FF due to the fact that it supported tabbed browsing which is now a feature present in both of them, but now I guess its too late for IE :)
ok first of all i think IE7 suks... its soo bad that once i got soo frustrated of it that i tried to break my laptop (though never really got ahead with that :D ) but anyways i personally think that its the worst explorer version microsoft has ever created... rest is all upto personal views...
I choose both. FF is 20% faster then IE but i used a registry key that made IE faster. FF is not at all good in handling websites with flash it gets stuck if websites are heavy flash.
I will always prefer Mozilla Firefox for browsing on the internet.I love the features provided by Mozilla Firefox.
In earlier days I used to use Internet Explorer for browsing purpose but it was so bulky and buggy that I left using this browser....though I use it sometime nowadays on my windows vista.
I like the new and advanced look given to the Internet Explorer but still no comparison with Mozilla Firefox.
IE7 sucks... I prefer Mozilla Firefox for many reasons but the main reason is many plugins...I can't live without these plug ins.And moreover Mozilla Firefox is light on system and i feel more secure in it than IE7.. The updates and security patches are released more often than IE7 ..And the best part is Chat Zilla plug in via which i can chat in IRC..
I agree wholeheartedly; there are many, MANY more options available with Firefox than with IE7. I love the plugins available for FF, like the Alexa Rank. I love to be able to go to a competitor's website and tell EXACTLY how much traffic they're getting.

I have both. There are some sites that are still not compatible with Firefox. Some of them are Flash - others plain CSS. FireFox wins hands down over IE in terms of Performance and Speed. However, it really gives more load on the computer than IE. Check for yourself, in the task manager - FF uses around ~50k memory. Whereas, IE is along the lines of ~10-15k mostly.
I Have Been Using IE And Now Mine Is IE7. I Have Installed Firefox once but i didn't like the look of it. IE7 also has great features now. But Now Adays Lot Of Sites Asking Us To Download firefox for faster view. So I have a question Is firefox is really faster than IE7?
So I have a question Is firefox is really faster than IE7?
Actually I didn't See any difference. I see only one downside of firefox - it likes to cache things. And during some time it occupies lots of RAM and starts to act slowly. I dont know about IE- as I use it very occasionally.
So I have a question Is firefox is really faster than IE7?
Well, yes. While surfing the net, it really appears to be faster than IE. FireFox + Firetune pwns any browser. Memory usage wise, FF gives more load than IE.
FF is the best...
I love it for various plugins....
And it is totally wrong that FF consumes more resources than IE7....Disabling some plugins will make FF faster than IE7
FF is more secure than IE7 coz security holes are patched more often in it than IE7...
I am not sure if IE7 is a complete browser or not. Cause many CSS is wrongly presented there which are perfect in FF or even Opera. So in that respect i have to say it is FireFox. Also the plugins makes it unbeatable really. :D
I have both but i use Firefox more than Internet Explorer 7. I like Firefox because is simple and pages are loaded very fast despite th IE7 which loads pages more slowly than Firefox.
mozilla firefox is safe and secure than ie7...but i heard that it occupies more cache memory..which makes to load slower than ie7...ie7 is not well secured at all...so, instead of using a unsecured fast processing ie7, u can use well secured little slow processed FF...Thats it...
