The tutorial for installing linux with XP is great! had been trying to get it done for over a month now, thanks for help!
The linux creates it's own format in partition which is unrecognizable by windows!
Using a dual-boot does not harm or slows your system in any way. Though the startup may be delayed a bit, but it's next to nothing!
