Branded PC or Assembled?

Hey guys...one of my friend wanted to buy a desktop PC ,so i wanted to ask if I should suggest him a branded PC or assemble one. What is best in terms of price and quality.
He is little noob when it comes to computer, so I think he will need support from vender. And also which brands would u suggest in case the advice is for an branded PC?

If your friend is really noob :) than he should go with branded as support will be simpler, and PC should be more reliable. But as we know branded PCs are always step behind comparing with assembled. Personally me I like to assemble PC from different parts that I think fit my needs best.
I very much agree with you.
No doubt assembled PC's are more flexible and also cheaper. But there is hardly any after sales support
Even when I was noob :) i bought a Branded PC ;-)
Assembled PCs are good for geeks.
My PC was assembled and I think is much better than branded tell your friend to assemble the PC if he need help you can give a try:D

If the individual is a "noob"...do him or her a favor and help them pick out a nice branded computer. Building from scratch is not for the weak of heart. With so many reputable vendors available....Just pick one and go. Another suggestion I have....check Ebay for last years models....
Branded if you want to keep it simple..I personally would always go for an assembled PC. You get all the options, can satisfy yourself completely and also manage to get a better configuration for the same price!
It depend on your friend purpose. If he need a stable PC please take Branded. Good product and good support. If he got a minimum budget just take assembled. But it is not guarantee stable enough.
