What is the next step for Microsoft?
There has been a speculation in the past few weeks that windows 7 OS is now going to be released from the scrap, by the Microsoft. But these claims are rejected by Microsoft.
It seems that people are expecting something from Microsoft but it is going in different direction. Microsoft is actually working on another project called "midori", by keeping the windows 7 on the old platform. Microsoft is desperately working on this product which means that it is on fast track.
So readers what you think that widows platform will soon be replaced by midori?
Well to my point of view Microsoft will soon turns this project into commercial product that will run parallel for several years along with windows.
The reason behind this is that if we look back at the history, NT was the first invention of Microsoft in 1993. NT was abbreviated as new technology. Almost a decade passed and Microsoft ran business OS (Windows NT) and consumer OS parallel.
When XP windows were launched in 2001, we witnessed that for all the windows users new technology was made main stream. The consumer OS which is an old line, was stopped to process further.
Windows NT took along time for considering acceptable by the window users. NT took long time to attract the attention of the users to use it on desktop. NT became scrap when windows 2000 were introduced and it achieved its acceptance world wide with in nick of time.
At that time when windows 2000 were getting attention, millions of windows licenses were kept on shipping by the Microsoft. It was done by using old technology OS.

Along side with vista, midori has the potential to coexist.
-
It can become a big challenge for server 2008 and windows 7 for the next 5 years.
-
OS is used by the customers for specialized reasons like powerful work station
It is very rare to accept that the retailers will sell and buy the new platform until it will be given approval by the early adopters.
