Each computer connected to network has its own IP address. IP address is a numeric address, expressed in four sequences of digits separated by periods, for, instance 192.168.001.184. Simplest way to know your computer’s IP address is from command window. For this press Start button then Run and in text field type cmd:

Press OK to start command prompt window. To show your IP address type command ipconfig and press enter.

ipconfig command shows not only computer IP address, but also an Subnet mask and default gateway – the computer or device IP that connects directly to internet. In this case IP address of this particular computer is 192.168.101.24
