8800GT vs. 9600GT

In your opinion what is clever choice between this two GPU-s.

9600GT is from new nVidia series but as i understand its still little slower than 8800GT. Or am i wrong?

8800gt al the way for me ... although 9600gt is newer bt they cant beat 8800gt
