Each time you are taking away the part of memory when you open a program. And no choice is left to your computer but to lock up when whole of the memory is used.

Cleaning up your history and defragmenting your hard derive are the two most important steps taken by you. Data is stored when you add it to your computer. Over the time data files spread out and often get moved from each other. As the files are to be placed together again so it makes the programs to operate slowly from the normal speed. Here defragmenting plays an important role by rearranges all the files and cleaning up the hard drive.

When there are too many files in your registry then the requests you made can take longer time to be fulfilled and completed. This causes freeze ups in the end. If you want to solve this problem then with easy to use tools maintenance of both the problems can be done.

Scan for spyware and viruses: virus and some type of spyware is another reason why your computer freezes up. Your RAM is sucked up, your registry is altered and you may face other problems too which your system can not deal with.
