500gigs..What the heck would you do with it?
When Samsung announced this....the first thing I though was... What would you do with all that space??...I have a 80gig...Im a download junkie...and in 2 years..I havent even reached 25 percent capacity..
Ok..so maybe you guys can enlighten me....whats the need for it?
I have 400 gigs and I am running short :) I won't tell what I am storing there :D
Hahahhahahahahahahah...Ohhhhh....I bet I know!.....Lots and lots of old Shirley temple movies....uh huh....
And..umm..thats exactly what I guess Ild use it for also!!
(walking away singing).....On the good ship ..Lollipop....
well, the High def content takes up a lot of space, so i guess this would answer part of query! :)
I have video's, pictures and tonnes of music files on my laptop and I am nowhere near filling up that a ount of space. You would have to be downloding a heck of a lot of programs to need that much!
Blue ray and DVD movies from internet will eat 500gigs in a sec.
Also new games are very demanding on disk space.
Any way i am not concerned about capacity. Speed is real problem. Nothing happens with that issue in last few years...
yes, the speeds have been static for much time now. i haven't seen or heard speeds greater than 7200rpm. higher speeds drives cost more (>7200).
Well I have 120GB and 160GB over two seperate drives. The 120GB I use for programs and the 160GB for films, TV and games. Needless to say, I'm up to over 100GB on the 160GB - but there are some great games and films on there ;-)
lol, i am a music producer, i can tell you that 500 gb is not a lot of space, i have 4 320gb drives that are full, and im onto my fifth 320gb drive, i also have 3 latops (one has a 120gb drive, about half full, the other has an 80gb drive, totally full, and a little umpc which has 12 gigs, but is only 10% full-i use the umpc for network testing, so it doesnt need a lot of space) so 500 gb drives just mean that instead of 3 drives to make 1tb, i now only need 2 (i need to get some 1TB drives though)
