3 tips that'll make you work faster in Windows XP
Looking to save time in your everyday computer usage? Here are three tips to try:
1. Cache thumbnails
You can cache thumbnail images to help speed up your display when browsing image-filled folders in Windows Explorer. Open My Computer, click on Tools > Folder Options > View and uncheck ‘Do not cache thumbnails’.
2. Make your web browser open faster
Make Internet Explorer open quickly by starting without looking for a homepage. Create a new shortcut and, in the command line, enter the following path: “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” – nohome.
3. Rename lots of files at once
Renaming the entire contents of a folder is simple; press [Ctrl]+[A] to select all the files, then press [F2]. All you need to do is rename one of the files and the rest will then be renamed for you automatically

thanks for these tips.
there is an easier way to implement the second tip.
you select "about:blank" as your default home page.
So every time you open IE it will not look for a home page.
about the third tip how can the files be renamed automatically what will the new name? won't all of them have the same name?
