Article: How to add run command to vista’s start menu

Like many PC users I switched to Vista from XP sometime last year. I was having a habit of using the run command for launching any application that I need. I used to hit the windows key and "R" to get to the run command and then type out the words for the required application. Now out of sheer habit I started doing the same on Vista but, where is the Run command in Vista? Well here is how you can get that very important command in the start menu.

Step 1: Right-click on the blue Start Menu button, click "Properties".

Step 2: Click on "Start Menu"tab and then "Customize".

Step 3: The Customize Start Menu dialog has popped open, now scroll down about more than half, you’ll find the "Run Command" window.

Step 4: Hit "OK" on both the buttons and Voila! you have the run command waiting for your orders.
